„Finally! The 24th September is here! The day of our departure to England!Hurraay!!!“

These were the feelings of 40 children from 7.B and 7.C classes who went on a two-week trip to England. First, we had to survive two-day journey on the bus, but it was possible to survive! … we can prove it! On the way to Barnstaple, where host families were expecting us, we stopped in Belgium to see Bruges. After a night in France, we boarded a ferry, it was great! We had a beautiful view of the sea and the white cliffs of Dover.
Leaving Dover, we immediately started to see some differentces. The bus on the left, different houses, landscape… Next 10 days prepared many more!
In Barnstaple we had English lessons every morning and in the afternoon we went on trips. We visited small villages and beaches on the Atlantic coast, had fun in a fun park Milky Way, did some shopping in Exeter, explored the ruins of King Arthur´s castle Tintagel and on the way home we stopped for a couple of hours in London. There we saw world famous Bib Ben and Tower Bridge, sailed on the river Thames and bought some souvenirs near the Tower of London.
It is difficult to say which trip was the best! All of them were really nice! The landscape of Devon and the town of Barnstaple charmed us! We have really nice memories of all that!
Those 14 days were wonderful, even though it seemed like only a week. We all enjoyed it! Our trip to England was great and thank you to our teachers who prepared it so well for us. We are looking forward to another similar event!

Viaje a la Costa Mediterránea en España

En el mes de mayo hemos tenido la oportunidad de realizar un interesante viaje con nuestros alumnos a la Comunidad Valenciana. En él han participado alumnos de los cursos de 6º a 9º de nuestra escuela. En total un grupo de 36 estudiantes y 4 adultos hemos podido participar en experiencias lúdicas y educativas en un medio de interacción que ha facilitado el uso de los conocimientos aprendidos en la escuela a lo largo del curso.

El viaje ha sido programado con una fuerte intención educativa. Por ello se incluyeron actividades en centros educativos, visitas culturales a diferentes pueblos de la geografía valenciana y a centros ligados a la educación no formal como es el oceanográfico o la ciudad de las ciencias de valencia.

Tuvimos también la oportunidad de hacer inclusiones en ámbitos de la vida diaria muy útiles a la hora de vivenciar la lengua española. Visitamos el mercado municipal de Valencia donde nuestros alumnos pudieron contemplar la enorme variedad de productos típicos de la zona. Utilizar las más frecuentes funciones lingüísticas relacionadas con la compra y la solicitud de información. Integrarse de alguna forma a la vida cotidiana de un pueblo costero como Oropesa o disfrutar de lugares históricos como Peñiscola.

Realizamos actividades interactivas con los vecinos del hotel y actividades de control para poder tomar consciencia de los puntos fuertes del programa. Los chicos y chicas del centro en ellas se mostraron contentos con las actividades y particularmente señalaron las actividades realizadas con el centro educativo de secundaria de Oropesa como las más gratificantes. Es por ello que nos planteamos la necesidad de ampliar este tipo de actividades y mejorar su planificación.

Unsere Schule hatte im Juni eine Woche Schüleraustausch in Deutschland.Die Kinder wohnten in den Familie in Regenstauf. Drei Tage lang lernten sie vormittags mit deutschen Schülern, besuchten Schwimmbad, fuhrten mit dem Dampschiff zum Denkmal Walhalla, sahen sich Städte Regensburg und Nürnberk an und verbrachten sehr schönen Familientag.
Alle waren zufrieden und jetzt erwarten wir im Oktober unsere Partner.

Our trip to Great Britain

On the 25th September 40 students from 7.C, 8.A and 8.B classes left Prague and travelled by bus to Great Britain.
On the way we visited Bruges in Belgium. We liked it very much because the city has a really nice architecture. We sailed on the canal by boat and we saw a big cathedral tower. Bruges is also called „Venice of the north“. Then we passed the boarders of Belgium and went to France where we slept one night in a hotel. The next day we crossed the English Channel by ferry to Britain. On our way to Barnstaple we stopped in Stonehenge and saw the historical monument. In the evening we arrived in Barnstaple and split in our host families. Every morning we went to school which took place in Grosvenor church. Devided in three groups we had three 55 min. long English lessons. Each lesson we had a different teacher. In the afternoons we went on trips. Twice we had all-day trip (to Tintagel and Exeter). We spent time at many interesting places like Lynton and Lynmouth, Ilfracombe and Woolacombe (surfing places), twice we visited the Atlantic coast and many more. We enjoyed the fun park in Milky Way and the sports day in the local leisure centre. On Sunday we spent time with our families.
We really enjoyed the time in England, but now it´s time to come back to school! L On the way back we visited London. We saw Big Ben, London Eye, the Houses of Parliament and many other places. We also went by double-decker bus and by boat on the river cruise. ( The first time in the history of this trip!) J
We arrived in Prague on Friday the 8th October in a good mood and with new experiences. We have just one little problem – our backs still hurt from the night on the bus! JJ

La visite du Parlement européen

En septembre, les élèves de notre école ont participé à la visite d'étude à Strasbourg. Le séjour a été organisé par les bureaux de député du Parlement européen de monsieur Milan Cabrnoch. Les enfants ont appris beaucoup de nouvelles informations sur le fonctionnement du Parlement européen. On a eu aussi l'occasion de discuter des questions tchèques et européennes et on a pu être directevement présents à la Réunion des metres. Le programme comprenait également une visite à la ville qui est vraiment très jolie.L´organisation de séjour a été excellente. La visite du Parlement européen a été une expérience formidable.

OUR TRIP TO THE NETHERLANDS

From 26th to 30th April we were in this interesting country. We travelled across Germany whole day and in the evening we arrived to Heemskerk. There we were accommodated in the ancient castle.
Next day we visited primary school in Alsmere. There we had the opportunity to see their classes and to spend a short time in their lessons. It was very interesting experience. You can’t hear the bell in dutch school, because they don’t use it.
In the afternoon we arrived to Harderwijk, where is a large dolphinarium. There we saw a big dolphins show. It was great!
The last place we visited this sunny day was Naarden. In this small town there is the grave of
J.A. Komenský.
On the second day we visited Japanese school in Amsterdam. We had again the opportunity to see how children from Japan (who live in the Netherlands) learn their mother language.
In the afternoon we saw how to make wooden shoes and how to make cheese. It was in the open-air museum in Zaanse Schans. Then we had a delicious dinner in a cosy restaurant in Volendam, a small fishing village.
The last night we slept in hotel F1 next to Amsterdam. And the last day we spend in Amsterdam. There we admired this busy town from the boat which floats on Amsrerdams‘ grachts. Then we visited the Museum of Vincent van Gogh. We also spent two hours in Museum of Madame Tussaud.
In the evening we took places in our bus and fell asleep. We dreamed about the country full of water, tulips and bikes . . . .

Friendship with Denmark

In the days from 6. to 10. April 8th classes took part in an exchanging programme with Danish school in Ringe. First day we played sports in the school playground and in the afternoon we went to sight-seeing tour of Prague. Second day we climbed in the rope center and after that we played bowling in the club Radava. Last day we visited Prague ZOO in Troja, then Danish friends wanted to buy some souvenirs for their families, so we took them to River town market. We spend free afternoons and evenings by doing many activities – like cinemas, parks and shopping centers.We and our Danish friends enjoyed the time in Prague a lot and we are looking foward to our trip to Denmark in May.

Notre école organise avec un grand succes „Le jour des portes ouvertes“ chaque année ,cette fois le 18. mars de 8 a 18 heures. Notre école a été visitée par 200 invités. Le programme était préparé par des éleves et il était vraiment riche - des chansons, des projets etc. Merci a tous.

English competition 2009

Like every year our school organised a competition in English which took place on the 8th and 10th December 2009. The competition was for the 7th grade (the younger category) and the 8th+9th grades (the older category). It consisted of two parts - listening and talking on the chosen topic. First we had to listen to the tape and then complete a paper with questions. The first part was based on the listening, the second one was correcting mistakes. After that we had to wait for the talking part. First of all the teachers asked us to introduce ourselves (hobbies, character, etc.). Then we had to choose a topic and talk about it for a couple of minutes. If we didn´t know what else to say, they just asked us some additional questions about the given topic. I think that it was quite nice and I really enjoyed it.

Dresden 2009

Wir sind am 3. Dezember nach Dresden gefahren. Wir haben Zwingerbesucht. Dort ist die bekannte Sixtinische Madonna von Rafaello Santizo da Urbino, und viele andere Bilder. Dann sind wir durch die Stadt gegangen, und haben viele Sehenswürdigkeiten gesehen. Zum Beispiel Frauenkirche. Uns haben die lebenden Statuen interessiert. Dann sind wir zum Weihnachtsmarkt gegangen, und haben viele Weihnachtsgeschenke gekauft. Wir sind nach Hause glücklich zurück gefahren.

People to People Leadership Summit in Washinghton D.C.

Students from our school had the first opportunity to join People to People Leadership program held in Washington D.C., USA.
On the 19th of October 2009 two chosen students with prof. Lodinová started their journey on Ruzyň airport their trip to Washington D.C. Flight took approximatley 11 hours with layover in Wien.
Very interesting and various programs had been prepared during the six days spent in Washington. We visited White House, Capitol, museum of Holocaust, Space museum and many others.
American students were very friendly and communicative. I wish to all future participants of this program many interesting and unforgettable experiences.

Our trip to England 2009

From 19th September to 2nd October we were on the trip to England. It was interesting, beautiful and we had a lot of fun.
We travelled to England a long time. First, we travelled across Germany to Belgium where we stopped to look round a very beautiful city Brugge. Then we went to France to Dunkerque and there we slept one night. Early in the morning we sailed by ferry to Dover and we drove on to see Stonehenge. After Stonehenge we went on to meet host families who were waiting for us in Barnstaple. In Barnstaple we went to school every day. It wasn´t a real school building, it was a modern church, but we used it like school.
We visited loads of beautiful places. We had a family day, too. It was a day when kids went with their families to some places which they wanted to see. During our stay in England we also had a town tour, we saw the Atlantic coast, Exeter, Tintagel, Westward Ho!, Lynton and Lynmouth, we played games in the sports centre and went to a fun park Milky Way. It was the best!! There were lots of slides, rollercoasters, dodgem cars, a spooky castle and lots of other things. At Tintagel we saw King Arthur´s castle and a show about the story of King Arthur. We also saw the round table.
On the way back home we stopped in London. We visited the Tower of London, we saw Tower Bridge, Big Ben and many other London landmarks.

Skiing trip 7.B

On 14th February we went by bus on our skiing trip. Before we got to Herlíkovice, we were on the bus full of expectations and also happy that we would cut school for one week. At that moment some of us did not know what was waiting for them. After all-day skiing in Herlíkovice, the fateful evening came. Two girls came down with flu and they had to go back home. On Tuesday another of us was on turn. It started to be critical. There were only 16 of us. Wednesday was without problems and we fully enjoyed amazing skiing conditions for both down-hill and cross-country skiing. However, Thursday damaged it again. Another ill participant went home, together with her friend-gymnast who had to go training. Suddenly, it was Friday, nearly the end, the day of skiing races. But it would not be a „normal“ day without waving goodbye. One of us was picked up by his parents because they went on a skiing trip together. Although there were only 13 of us, the final disco didn´t miss us. Saturday = departure is here. There are only few of us, two need to take pills, and we are going home to Prague. Despite all the problems, we enjoyed the trip very much!!

Wir waren am 4. – 5.Dezember 2008 in Wien. Wir haben Hundertwasserhaus, Stephansdom, Habsburgengruft, Hofburg, Spanische Reitschule besucht. Nachher haben wir in Weihnachtsmarkt und auf der Mariahilfe-Strasse eingekauft. Am Abend haben wir van Gogh Ausstellung gesehen. Wir haben auch eine Stadtbesichtigung gemacht.♥ Wir lieben Wien so viel. ♥

On the 21st of January, nine other girls, the teacher and me went on a tournament in a ball game called "přehazovaná". The tournament took place in the school ZŠ Emy Destinnové. There were six other school teams. We won both sets of the first match. Our second opponent was much stronger, but we won again! Then we played a very exciting match with the winner of the second group. Both teams won one set (15:13 and 14:15), but we were luckier, we lost the one with only one point difference and it meant that we won the whole tournament! We were very happy!

The event called "Students as snowmen" took place at ZŠ Pod Marjánkou on the 26th November 2008. On this day students were supposed to dress in white clothing and white accessories. They were awarded one point for every white piece of clothing or accessory that was white. The class with the most points was awarded a sweet award. The winners were: elementary - class 5.A and middle - class 6.B!

On 26th September we visited Slovak institute in Prague 1. Our guides were 2 actors: Viera Kučerová and Martin Matejka. They read us a fairy tale called 12 months. We learned some words in Slovak language and how is the Slovak language and how is the Slovak language similar to the Czech language! They told us a lot of about Slovakcountry and its story.

Two sunny weeks in England!

Our trip to England lasted from the 20th September to 3rd October 2008. We stayed in host families in Barnstaple, near the Atlantic ocean in the south-west of England. Every day we had three lessons with our English teachers Belinda, Roy and Helena. After school we went on trips to interesting places, e.g. Exeter, Lynton and Lynmouth, Milky Way (an adventure park), Tintagel and many more. One day we spent the whole day with our host families.
The journeys to and from England were long, but exciting. We stopped in Brugge in Belgium and in Stonehenge. On the way back we had a 9-hour break in London. We saw loads of famous sights there. It was brilliant time with our friends from school!!

From the 21st to 25th of April we had Danish visitors. For 5 days they lived with us and learned about Czech culture. Our teachers prepared a programme beginning with a visit of the Terezin camp and afternoon bowling on Tuesday. On Wednesday we played sports at school and in the afternoon we prepared a speech about some interesting places of Prague. We had lots of fun on Thursday morning, when we went to the rope center. In the afternoon our Danish friends had a chance to buy some gifts for their families. On Friday they were already on their way home...
We are looking forward to see them again and visit the nice places of Denmark.

Unsere Fahrt nach Berlin

Wir sind am 14. Mai um 6 Uhr Morgen nach Berlin gefahren. Wir sind 6 Stunden gefahren. Im Bus war Spass. Wir haben etwa funf mal an der Tankstellee angehalten. Wir sind um 12 Uhr nach Berlin gekommen. Dort sind wir ins Muzeum, auf den Fersehturm gegangen und Spaziergang durch die Stadt gemacht.Um 6 Uhr sind wir in unseren Pension gefahren.Es war gut. Er steht am See. Wir haben Abendessen gegesen und dann etwa um 10 Uhr sind alle in die Zimmer gegangen, weil alle mude waren. Wir sind um 7:30 aufgestanden,dann war Fruhstuck. Nach dem Frustuck sind wir zu Reichstag gefahren. Dort war grosse Schlange. Reichstag war schön. Dann waren wir noch in Egyptischen Museum ,im Holocaust Denkmal. Alles war gut. Wir waren auch auf der Strasse Under den Linden.. Dann sind wir in denPension gefahren. Wir hatten Abendessen. Wir sind um 10 Uhr schlafen gegangen. Der letzte Tag waren wir im Postupim Schloss. Dort sind schone grosse Garten und der Schloss ist auch schön. Wir sind nach Prag um 12 Uhr gefahren. In Prag waren wir um 19 Uhr. Dann sind alle nach Hause gefahren.

Deutscholympiade

Am sechsten Februar habe ich an der Schulrunde der Deutscholympiade teilgenommen und ich habe gewonnen. Ich habe es nicht erwartet und war sehr froh. Die nachste Runde war wieder in unserer Schule und hier waren Kinder aus den Schulen von Prag 6.
Wir haben ein Hortest und dann ein Gesprach mit der Komission absolviert. Ich war sehr nervos und vielleicht auch deshalb war ich die zweite. Mein Mitschuler Dominik Sipos hat gewonnen und das finde ich sehr gut.

ANTIFET-FEST

Our school took part in the annual amateur film contest called ANTIFET-FEST. It is a part of the preventive programme against various addictions and crime organized by the Magistrate of Prague and the local authority of Prague 12. We sent to this round three films made by the pupils of 8.A, 9.B and 9.C.
The award ceremony was held in the theatre Semafor on the 6th May 2008. Our „film-makers“ were very successful that day! The contest was won by the film „Modrý slon“(= A blue elephant) made by our pupils Fanda Hába(9.B), Willem Heida(9.C) and David Jánský(9.C). This film also received a winning award of the present spectators. The „bronze medal“ was won by the film „ZjednoDUŠEně“ (=SimpliSOULfied) made by Matouš Pinkava, Jirka Procházka, Anička Růžičková, Bětka Majerčinová and Honza Srna from the class 8.A.
The winning film „Modrý slon“ will represent our school and all the Prague 6 schools in the Prague final round on the 11th June 2008. Congratulations for all the participants and good luck to the boys!

DigiSkills meeting in Prague

From 4th to 6th May 2008 our school organized a meeting of all DigiSkills partner schools.
On Monday morning forty teachers and students were invited by Mgr. Tomas Chalupa, the mayor of Prague 6, for breakfast and then they went on a Prague sightseeing tour.
The most difficult work started after lunch when the students, divided into four groups, set off on the Prague Quest walks across Romantic, Hospitable, Entertaining and Making the money fly Pragues. They were asked not only to record given places, but also answer some questions. On Tuesday morning they were supposed to trim their results in four short films. Everybody was amazed by the Prague beauty and they are planning to come back one day.

„ArtCrossing“

On Thursday 30th April 2008 our class 9.C went to the National Gallery in Prague. We had a workshop there called „ArtCrossing“. It is a multimedia educational project for pupils, students and teachers. It was guided by an artist who taught us how to use Arkaos, a video DJ (VJ) programme. Afterwards we were given digital cameras and we went to the exposition of F. Kupka´s paintings. We took photos of some of the paintings and we VJ´d them. It was pretty hard to manage the programme, but the final clip, which you can see, is actually nice. We enjoyed it, it wasn´t boring at all!

On Monday 21st April 2008 a dog called Baryk visited our school! He prepared some puzzles and games for about one hundred children from the 2nd classes of different schools who would like to learn foreign languages with us from next year! Finally, eighty of them were successful and they promised to walk Baryk regularly from next September! We look forward to meeting them again on our walks!

Teaching practice - evaluation II

The teaching practice was something that I really looked forward to, however I was slightly afraid of it. It was an opportunity to try something new. I didn’t know anything about the school I had chosen, and I had never taught before.
At the beginning I was surprised. The pupils were very cooperative and they all tried hard. I was quite nervous, but they helped me to overcome the problems. Some of the lessons were not so good, but some of them were perfect and I really enjoyed them.
I’d like to thank Ms Prokopova for her advice and opinions which were great contribution to my learning how to teach. And I’d like to thank the pupils, because their kindness and success supported my decision to become a teacher.

Teaching practice evaluation (25.3.- 4.4.2008)

When I signed for my very first teaching practice, I was really scared. As I had never taught before, I was afraid of everything – of students, their questions, of the lessons, of the atmosphere and first of all, I was afraid of myself. Will I know all the answers to all possible questions, will I know how to deal with possible problems? However, as my time at the elementary school „Pod Marjankou“ went by, Ms Prokopova and the pupils managed to show me, with no special effort, that teaching isn´t that horrible as I had thought before, and that it can be actually fun. Of course, no one dares to doubt that it is a hard and time-demanding job. On the other hand, it is one of the few jobs which results are so obvious. To see „my“ students actually using new grammar structures made me forget the anxiety in which I was imprisoned in the beginning. And that is a reward I did not even expect.

Easter at school!

Our last lesson of English before Easter we were in our library. We were talking about differences between Easter in England and in the Czech republic. We have learned some Easter vocabulary, like a bunny, an egg or a twig. We also helped the bunny to find some eggs! At the end of the lesson we checked our new vocabulary by „Hot Potatoes“ – a special programme for learning English. It was great!

English language competition

On the 22nd February I represented our school in an English competition of Prague 6. It had 2 parts: a test (listening and grammar) and a conversation. The most interesting for me was the second part because I prefer to speak English. Our questions were not very difficult and I chose a good topic - „My friends“. Because I have a lot of them, it wasn´t a problem to talk about my good friends. I was on the third place.

February 2008 - skiing month in our school

7.A
Every winter all the 7th classes spend one week in the mountains where they improve their skiing skills. This year our class 7.A went on a trip to Krkonoše first. We left on Saturday 2nd February. We went by bus to a small village Strážné where we stayed for 1 week in a small mountain cottage. There was lots of snow at the beginning, skiing was perfect and we also had time for cross-country skiing. It was fun!! On the rainy day we played a table tennis
tournament. Every evening we played many indoor games organized by our leaders. At the end of the trip we had skiing races. Every other evening there was a disco!:-)The week was wonderful, with lots of fun, everybody enjoyed it!! Thank you for everything and see you in the mountains again!

Our class went on a skiing trip the 2nd week in February. We stayed in a small cottage in Herlíkovice. Our cottage wasn´t very nice, food and the cooks were terrible, but we enjoyed the trip anyway. We went skiing nearly every day. The 4th day we went on an all-day cross-country skiing trip on Žalý. It was fun. The weather was great! Boys in our class were real gentlemen and helped the girls with cross-country skis. On the trip we made friends with most of the people in our class. In the evenings we played many games. At night we talked with our room-mates and ate lots of crisps. We didn´t sleep much. According to most of us it was the best skiing trip in the world!

Our class arrived in Strážné as the last. It wasn´t freezing so the snow was thawing. We lived in a cottage called Vilka. We arrived at noon so we went skiing in the afternoon. We were divided into three skiing groups. The first group was the best and they were skiing on the most difficult skiing slopes, the third group on the easiest. The weather wasn´t cold all the time, but it was okay for skiing. We lived in rooms from 2 to 4 people. Every day we got up at about 7.30 and we had breakfast at 8. Next to Vilka was a building where we went to eat. After breakfast we returned to our rooms and we packed our bags for skiing. When we were ready, a ski-bus took us to the slopes where we made the groups. Each group had its own instructor. When we came back from the trip, we usually had one hour for relaxing. For cross-country skiing we had different groups. At 6 pm we had dinner and then we played some games with our teachers. We had to go to bed at 10pm. We think that all of us enjoyed it and nobody wanted to return back to school again.

Dresden 2007

ES gehört schon zur Tradition an unserer Schule, vor Weihnachten nach Dresden zu fahren.Dezember 2007 war keine Ausnahme. Wieder haben wir angenehmen Spaziergang durch das historische Stadtzentrum gemacht, wir haben auch etwas Neues kennengelernt – Deutsches Hygienemuseum. Zuletzt haben die Weihnachtsatmosphäre auf dem traditionellen Striezelmarkt genossen. Iva Urbanová

The 50th school anniversary

On the 18th December 2007 our school celebrated its 50th birthday. The school was given an eighty-million crown renovation from the local authority. The public had a chance to have a look round the school the whole day. They could also visit workshops of the teachers which were aimed at media education. The main project topic was "A building of the centuries".
The official opening ceremony took place at 2 pm. The new school was opened by Tomas Chalupa, the mayor of Prague 6 and Jindrich Kitzberger, the vice-minister of education.
The mayor was willing to give an interview to the students who take part in the project Digiskills.

Finally, teachers, students and their parents met at the birthday party in Hotel Pyramida where they were reminded the school fifty-year history against a background of the worldwide events.

During the holidays in 2007 and at the start of another school year the school was finally renovated after fifty years.
Now the children can enjoy new colourful classrooms, corridors and toilets. The school has a new facade, renovated gymnasiums and school clubs.
Teachers waited patiently until big changes turned up and with financial support of the local authority new furniture for their rooms was bought.
There are new boards in the classrooms and thanks to the renovation a new project room was set up. It is also used for workshops.

Our trip to Great Britain

At the end of September we went on a language trip to England. Every year it is organised for students of the 7th classes. There were 43 of us this year.
Departure was set up for 10.30pm, but despite of that late hour we were all excited and in a good mood. We spent 2 days on the bus. We stopped in Brugge for a short visit, slept one night in a hotel in France and on Monday evening we arrived in Barnstaple. Our future English parents were already waiting for us near the school.
When we all arrived in our new homes, we had the first English dinner and went to bed. Next morning we went to school, as we do in Prague, but our lessons started at 9 o´clock instead of 8. After school we went on the first trip which was a town tour of Barnstaple. Our guide was very charismatic and there was no chance to get lost with this man. If anyone got lost, his loud expression „Oh, yey! Oh, yey!“ would get him out of the wrong way immediately.
We went on trips every day after school.Except Sunday which was a family day and we spent it with our host mothers and fathers. Our trips were: Atlantic coast – Ilfracombe and Woolacombe, Lynton and Lynmouth, Plymouth, Westward Ho!, Tintagel and Milky Way.
On the way to Prague we stopped in London where we visited the Tower of London and walked round the city centre where we saw the most famous buildings and places of the British capital.
We all liked the trip and we hope that we will go back to England again one day.

Schuleraustausch mit Hauptschule Donaustauf

Unser Austausch in Deutschland war die 1 Woche im Mai. Wir haben uns am ersten Mal getroffen. Wir haben in Deutschland alles zusammen gemacht. Wir haben die Spiele gespielt, aber auch Ausflüge gemacht. Zum Beispiel waren wir in Regensburg – wir haben eine Stadtführung gemacht. Die Tschechen haben bei den deutschen Partnerfamilien gewohnt. Wir waren nur mit Deutschen und wir mussten nur Deutsch sprechen. Das war für uns sehr wichtig und wir haben viele neue Wörter gelernt. Ich denke, jetzt haben wir viele Freunde in Donaustauf und für uns und für sie ist es auch super.
Im Juni sind die deutschen Schüler zu uns nach Prag gekommen. Sie haben einen Stadtbummel durch die Stadt gemacht, zusammen waren wir im Zoo, wir haben Bowling gespielt, an der Moldau gepadelt und wir haben für sie Gartenfest vorbereitet. Jeden Abend haben die tschechischen Schüler gutes Privatprogramm für sie gemacht. Die Deutschen Schüler haben in tschechischen Familien gewohnt .
Es war super und wir haben viel Spass zusammen erlebt.

Visit in Denmark

We were in Denmark from 3rd June to 8th June. We stayed in the families. We had really great time. We visited the school and we had games - gymnastic, basketball, table tennis etc... We visited lots of interesting places like: Ringe, Legoland, Sea centre in Kerteminde, Odense etc...
We had a bike trip to the lake. We caught fish, rode a canoe, swam and we had barbecue.
Every evening we spent in the family. It was really great and we hope that we will see our danish friends in the future.

An exchange programme with Dennmark

Everything started 5 years ago, when a group of Danish headmasters on a tour around the Czech republic visited our school. They were trying to find a school, that would like to participate in an exchange programme. One month later, we recieved a letter from a school from Ringe, the small town on the island of Fynn. And it was the beginning…
The first year 20 children from the eight grade participated and they started to exchange letters. The first Danish group arrived on Easter Monday 2003. The pupils stayed in host families and they had an exciting programme (visit our school, international sport games, visit of Karlštejn castle, Terezín concentration camp, bowling club, glass factory, Koněprusy caves, boat trip,…). In the evenings they had a programme with their host families.
Then children from our school went to Dennmark to visit their Danish friends and they enjoyed the trip also a lot.
We find this kind of programme very useful. The children are not afraid of speaking English, because for both sides English is not their mother language and they have a possibility to experience life and culture in a small foreign city through family life. And one of the most important thing for our pupils – they do not have to go to school!

Friends from Denmark

Our friends from Denmark came to Prague on Easter Monday. They were here from 9th April to 14th April and lived in our families. We had a nice time – we visited centre of Prague, we were in bowling club, Zoo, climbing centre etc. After school program we could go with them to the cinema, bobsleigh course, to Petřín or we went shopping. We really enjoyed it, we are in contact with them and we are looking forward to visiting Denmark in June.

Échange franco – tchéque 2007

Au mois de mars, nous avons passé huit jours chez nos amis français à la Pacaudiére en France. Et notre programme? Découverte de la région Rhône – Alpes et de la vie quotidienne de ses habitants et aussi de nos contemporains.
Nous avons visité le centre régional Lyon, Clérmont Ferrand, Roanne et d´autres lieux intéressants de cette région. Nous avons eu l´occasion de comparer le style de vie en France et chez nous en République tchèque, traditions historiques, la cuisine française et tchèque, le systéme scolaire... Nous avons passé une semaine inoubliable avec nos amis français. Maintenat, nous attendons avec impatience l´arrivée de nos correspondants à Prague. Nous aimerions bien leur présenter notre capitale Prague et profondir notre amitié.

Dresden

Im Dezember 2006 haben wir eine Fahrt nach Dresden gemacht. Wir haben die Gemaldegalerie Alte Mister im Zwinger besucht, wir sind durch Dresden spazierengegangen und schone Weihnachtsatmosphare erlebt, einige Weihnachtsgeschenke gekauft und ein bisschen Deutsch gesprochen.

Nous organisons les voyages scolaires en France pour nos éléves. Notre établissement scolaire jumelé – le collége Jean Papon à la Pacaudière se trouve dans la région Rhône-Alpes. Nous réalisons nos échanges depuis 2005.
Quel est le thème de notre projet? Découverte de la région Rhône-Alpes et de la vie quotidienne de ses habitants, perfectionner nos connaissances de la langue française. Présenter Prague - la capitale de la République tchèque à nos amis français et aussi le style de vie dans notre pays.

OUR TRIP TO GREAT BRITAIN

On the 23rd September at 10.30 pm all 43 children from the classes 7.A,B,C and 3 teachers (Kateřina Prokopová, Monika Tučková a Silva Žeková) left school towards England. On the way to England we stopped to see some interesting places, for example Brugge in Belgium, Stonehenge and Salisbury cathedral. After that we drove straight to Barnstaple in North Devon county where we met our host families.
The next morning at school we had to introduce ourselves to the English teachers with whom we then spent our 10 days in England. During the stay we had a look at the centre of Barnstaple (shops, a museum, monuments etc.). We also went on other trips. We got to see the ruins of King Arthur´s castle in Tintagel, the cities of Lynton and Lynmouth, Exeter with a beautiful cathedral and also the beaches of Woolacombe and Ilfracombe.
On the way back we did not forget to stop in London where we visited the Tower of London with the crown jewels. On a short tour round the city we saw the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square or the world-famous Tower bridge. In the evening we crossed the English channel by ferry and drove home to Prague.We think that all of us enjoyed our stay in Barnstaple and we hope that there will be another chance to visit so exciting and enchanting country as England is.
